So you’ve been hearing a lot about The Hunger Games lately, right? I know it’s not just my imagination that one of my favorite YA series is coming to the big screen. With the voting for Week #1 closed, we know that the following games are moving on:

Drunk Food for a Drunk Holiday: The St. Patrick’s Day Edition

Every year on March 17, revelers around the world pay tribute to a snake-hating, shamrock-wielding religious icon by ingesting a ton of alcohol and living it up like National Party League scouts are watching and it’s their one chance to make it to the big show. The kind of drunken debauchery that St. Patrick’s Day invites requires paranormal levels of stamina, so how do average human beings on the wrong side of college life keep up? By pumping their bodies full of delicious, greasy, calorie-laden bar food of course. Melted cheese is very fortifying.

Sadly old Paddy’s home country ain’t known for burgers, pizza, or buffalo wings, but if you wanna get a little traditional up in here, most of Ireland’s favorite dishes are hearty enough to fuel whatever inebriated antics your drunk butt sees fit to undertake. Actually, hangover-curbing meat and potatoes meals are the heart of Emerald Isle cuisine. To get in the spirit for Saturday, check out a few of my favorite options below, then wash it all down with a choice brew. Enjoy!
